Brighton High senior Violet Von released her debut EP, “Half Hidden from the Eye,” on Oct. 24.
The six-song collection is available on all streaming platforms. Three songs from the album were previously released as singles, according to a community announcement.
Von will perform the songs at a record release party at Label Kitchen + Bar in Brighton on Dec. 7.
Von is an active member of the choir program at Brighton Area Schools. She’s taken private vocal lessons with Sally Mikat at Mikat Music Studios since her freshman year, held onstage roles in numerous plays and musicals, and received awards and recognitions at Solo and Ensemble.

Von began writing her own music at a young age and continues to hone her craft by performing at open mic nights, charity events and art galleries, accompanied by fellow BHS student Mason Gay on guitar.
According to the announcement, Von draws inspiration from artists like Billie Eilish, Lizzy McAlpine, Conan Gray and Laufey. Outside of her music, Von embraces creativity in other forms, including fashion styling, video production and visual art, and hopes her work inspires others to explore their passions and express themselves fearlessly.
