Variety held its annual Power of Women event on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, featuring a bevy of high-profile performers to celebrate honorees Kate Hudson, Sydney Sweeney, Wanda Sykes, Nicole Scherzinger and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Sweeney turned to Christian Cowan’s spring 2026 collection for her look, crafted in collaboration with Elias Matso and curated by stylist Molly Dickson. The two-time Emmy Award-nominated actress wore a slinky dress in allover crystal silver fabric, featuring a rounded neckline and flowingly draped short sleeves. The gown featured subtle fabric gathering at the waist for a twisted effect, creating a defined silhouette. She accessorized with jewelry by Effy.
Jane Fonda

Fonda kept her attire cool and classic with a pair of black trousers and an allover sequin jacket. The venerated Oscar-winning actress and longtime activist’s jacket added a touch of sparkle to her mostly muted, monochrome attire.

Brenda Song gave power suiting a relaxed approach with her linen ultramarine coordinated look. The “Running Point” actress’ attire featured a long-sleeve, single-breasted blazer with a pair of wide-leg trousers. Song opted to go sans blouse beneath the blazer of her look.

Hudson favored fabric draping in Carolina Herrera’s Grecian-style white dress. The “Song Sung Blue” star’s look incorporated an asymmetrical design, with a long draped cape over one shoulder and a bare shoulder on the opposite side. The dress featured a column skirt and Hudson opted for a minimalist approach with her accessories.

Longoria gave women’s tailoring a sensual spin in a mini look with an oversize, single-breasted blazer. The monochrome attire, in all-black, included sharp lapels and side pockets. The “Flamin’ Hot” filmmaker wore a pair of strappy, pointed toe heels and accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings.
Nicole Scherzinger

Scherzinger brought theatricality to the event. The Tony Award-winning “Sunset Blvd.” star wore an asymmetrical aubergine dress with one off-the-shoulder strap and a thigh-high slit at the front. She completed the look with neutral beige pumps.
Presented by Lifetime, the Variety Power of Women event honored the achievements of five honorees, along with significant contributions by professionals in the media and entertainment industry. The 2025 iteration of the event was hosted by comedian Iliza Schlesinger and held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
