WASHINGTON (TNND) — Kaya Jones, a former Pussycat Dolls member turned-Christian solo artist is slamming the pro-Palestinian movement for remaining “silent” in the wake of the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, which was reached just a few weeks ago.

“I mean, look, we either want peace or we don’t, right, so you can’t complain for peace, and then the guy [President Donald Trump] works on peace, and then you’re like, ‘well, I don’t like it, or you don’t say anything about it’. I’ve seen a lot of the ceasefire, pro-Palestinian movement kind of silent in this moment of like we’re finally at a deal and peace,” Jones said in a video shared by Fox News Digital.

Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire deal brokered by President Donald Trump on October 8, leading to the remaining hostages taken on October 7, 2023 to be released and the release of Palestinian prisoners.

In September, dozens of celebrities including Billie Eilish and Cillian Murphy appeared in a video calling an immediate ceasefire in the Gazan War. The video was played at a “Together for Palestine” benefit concert in London. But ever since the ceasefire was reached, a vast majority of these stars advocating for Palestine have not celebrated nor acknowledged the new founded ceasefire.

Jones applauded Trump’s role in brokering a ceasefire agreement, but she also acknowledged that there have tests to its strength.

Earlier this week, Israel carried out air strikes across the Palestinian territory, resulting in the deaths of 100 people. Trump defended Israel’s air strike, which was done in response to Hamas fighters open firing on Israeli soldiers in Rafa. The fragile ceasefire has since resumed.

“I think when it comes to what Trump has done, I am proud of our president for doing what needs to be done,” Jones said.

“No matter what he does, for some it won’t be enough. This is a good day. We’re in a good place for peace.”

“I’m grateful to our president for what he is doing, trying to make headway in a very hard situation,” Jones said.
