Prince Harry’s kids have very little knowledge of what the royal actually does, according to him.
On Wednesday, Oct. 29, the Duke of Sussex, 41, appeared on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast to talk about several topics including how he’s settled into life in America and the dangers of social media and A.I.
During the chat, he opened up about his relationship with his kids, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, and even made a few rare confessions about them.
One of his admissions came when Hasan had asked, “What do your kids think you do?”
“Uhhhh, that’s a good question,” he jokingly started. After a few moments to ponder, he said, “They know that we help other people, but they don’t know the background.”
The podcast reiterated the question, prompting Harry to admit, “All there interested in is saying hi to the people on the call.”
“They’re fascinated to see other people,” he mentioned. “They love seeing familiar faces.”
When Harry is on a work call, he is used to be interrupted by his little ones.
The royal revealed, “They’ll run in and there’s an occasional hand on the forehead saying, ‘Not now.’” Then they just barge in, run on the lap and say, ‘Hi guys!’”
The Duke shares a very close relationship with his children.
In his 2023 memoir Spare, Harry revealed how hard it is for him to be separated from them for too long.
Recalling the time he had to travel back to the UK due to the death of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, he said, “Our quick trip would now be an odyssey. Another ten days, at least. Difficult days at that. More, we’d have to be away from the children for longer than we’d planned, longer than we’d ever been.”

On her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, she admitted, “The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks. I was…not well.”

A source told the Daily Mail, “I can tell you that Harry wants to educate the children here in the UK.”
He reportedly believes the two are “missing out on the extensive family network that their niece and nephews are enjoying.”
