  • Lafayette is offering a variety of Halloween and fall-themed events this weekend.
  • Festivities include costume parties, live music, and family-friendly activities.
  • Several food-focused events, such as the Giant Omelette Celebration and Acadiana Eats Festival, are also scheduled.

Lafayette is embracing the spooky season this weekend with a mix of haunted attractions, costume parties, live music, and family-friendly Halloween fun.

Here’s your guide to a few events happening in Lafayette this weekend

Friday, October 31

  • Bash At the Bridge: Join thousands at our 76,000‑sq‑ft venue for top 80s tribute bands, food, drinks, dancing, and nonstop nostalgia. Relive the 80s or discover it for the first time—don’t miss this retro weekend. The event is located at 1055 North Barn Road, Henderson, LA 70517, and starts at 5 p.m. The cost is $26 for a 1-day pass or $42 for a 2-day pass.
  • Boo at the Zoo: 8 p.m. Celebrate Halloween and fall at Zoosiana’s Boo at the Zoo, running Oct.1–31. Enjoy a bat-themed scavenger hunt, candy giveaways, costume contests, photo ops, and weekend-only activities.
  • Krewe de Halloween Ball: The first annual Krewe de Halloween Ball hits the Heymann Center this Halloween! Enjoy spooks, cocktails, and surprises at these adults-only (21+) parties, starting at 8 p.m. at 1373 S. College Rd., Lafayette.

Saturday, November 1

  • Abbeville’s Giant Omelette Celebration: Celebrate French heritage and international camaraderie. Inspired by a 1984 trip to Bessières, France, the festival unites seven cities worldwide. Each year, foreign representatives help cook a 5,000-egg Giant Cajun Omelette on Concord Street, share culture, and become chevaliers in Abbeville’s Confrerie. The omelette is free to all—join the “Omelette of Friendship” for food, fun, and lasting connections.
  • 2025 Louisiana Book Festival: Join the 21st Annual Louisiana Book Festival in downtown Baton Rouge. Celebrate readers, writers, and books at the State Library, Capitol Park Museum, and nearby tents. Saturday, 9 a.m.– 4 p.m. at Cavalier House Books, 701 N 4th St., Baton Rouge.

  • Acadiana Eats Festival: The Acadiana Eats Festival returns for its fourth year on Saturday, Nov. 1, 11 a.m.– 5 p.m. at West Village Development in Scott. Enjoy 25+ food vendors, pop-ups, live music, and fun celebrating Southern Louisiana’s food culture—admission is free.

Sunday, November 2

  • Bikes, Brews & Omelettes Too: Experience top road cycling in South Louisiana with routes from 10 to 100 miles or challenge yourself with a 200-mile/200 km weekend. Finish with food, drinks, and live music at TRAIL, 413 Coolidge St., Lafayette. Tickets are $25–$70, recurring daily.
  • Les Fres Michot: Live music at Prejean’s every Sunday, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at 3480 NE Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette. Free and recurring weekly.
