MANCHESTER — Burr and Burton Academy Performing Arts will soon present Christopher Sergel’s faithful adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s award-winning coming-of-age novel, “The Outsiders,” November 12 through 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Riley Center For The Arts.
Set in the 1960s in Tulsa, Oklahoma, two rival teenage gangs, “The Greasers” and “The Soc’s,” are at odds. The play centers around Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade, and their family of ‘outsiders’ who are fighting for their purpose and place in the world.
