Reality TV star-turned-dating competition host Ariana Madix is well aware that appearing on the hit show Love Island USA is to embark on a sometimes relentless emotional rollercoaster.
Still, she has her eyes set on one, albeit married, Hollywood celeb who she thinks could withstand the ups and downs.
“You know, Margot Robbie said she’s a fan of Love Island,” Ariana, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly of her dream contestant while attending the 35th Annual Environmental Media Association (EMA) Awards Gala at CBS Radford Studio Center in Studio City, California. “I mean, she’s not single, but I feel like she would have a lot of fun in there!”
She continued of Robbie’s probable Love Island success, “She would be quite popular.”
Ariana replaced Sarah Hyland as the host of Love Island USA in 2024, after her infamous breakup with longtime boyfriend and fellow Vanderpump Rules costar Tom Sandoval.
In one season 10 episode, which aired before news broke Tom cheated Ariana with Raquel Leviss, Ariana referenced Love Island, arguing that her then-boyfriend doesn’t watch the show with her.
“Yeah, I love hosting Love Island,” she told Us, though she admitted that she has her professional sights set on more than just reality dating television.

“Oh my gosh, honestly, I love doing comedy,” she explained. “I was able to do an episode of St. Denis [Medical] coming out soon that I’m really excited about. And I would love to continue to do more of that. That set, in particular, is such a fun set to be a part of. So, yeah.”
While Ariana manifests her next acting role, she’s been busy after a contentious season of the hit dating show. Recently, Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa issued a public apology to her season 7 costar Olandria Carthen amid her boyfriend Louis Russell’s controversial livestream.
“I want to begin by saying I completely respect Olandria, and it’s extremely disheartening that anyone, especially a presumed child, would find it excusable to use this type of language, and doing so only underlines the ignorance of the gravity that such a word carries,” Huda wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, October 29, after she and Louis appeared to laugh at a racial slur on her boyfriend’s recent livestream.

“Olandria — it is now clear that this comment was targeted at you, and I apologize for my immediate reaction,” she continued. “My reaction in that moment came from being caught off guard, not from finding the word or situation funny. It was a nervous, uncomfortable reaction that I recognize was inappropriate. I want to be clear that I do not condone or tolerate anyone who uses such language, and I strongly encourage the individual responsible to reflect deeply on their words and the harm they’ve caused.”
Earlier that same day, Olandria — who finished second on Love Island USA season 7 — reacted to the same controversial livestream via her Instagram Stories.
“I do not condone racism of any kind, nor do I entertain it. That kind of language is never acceptable,” she wrote in her own statement. “Not in anger, not as a joke, not ever. Words like that carry generations of pain, and pretending otherwise only keeps the cycling going. Defending it, laughing about it or making excuses is even worse.”
