Another week has come and gone, and there’s no better way to kick back on the weekend than by watching Saturday Night Live. So far, the iconic sketch comedy’s 51st season is going strong, but last week the series took the night off. So is there a new episode tonight?
Here’s everything you need to know before you tune in!
Is there a new episode of ‘SNL’ tonight?
Yes, SNL is all new tonight! Miles Teller is returning to Studio 8H for his second time hosting (he first headlined the show on Oct. 1, 2022). The Top Gun: Maverick star — who is promoting the romantic comedy movie Eternity, co-starring Elizabeth Olsen — will be joined by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile as musical guest.
Carlile has been on the show three times before (twice as solo musical guest) with memorable past appearances including a performance with Elton John during Season 50.
In a hilarious promo for tonight’s episode, Teller attempts to pitch his idea for a “Cool Pope” sketch to Chloe Fineman and Ben Marshall as Jeremy Culhane “trains” for a hot dog-eating contest at the same table.
Who is hosting next week and who is the musical guest?
Comedian Nikki Glaser, who earned an Emmy nomination for her special Someday You’ll Die, will make her debut as host on Nov. 8 alongside musical guest sombr, a fellow SNL first-timer.
Who’s hosted the show so far this season?
Bad Bunny hosted the season premiere on Oct. 4 (his second time hosting) alongside SNL newbie Doja Cat as musical guest.
Former SNL cast member Amy Poehler returned to the show for her second time as an individual host (and third overall, after hosting alongside Tina Fey) on Oct. 11. She was joined by musical guest Role Model in his very first SNL performance.
On Oct. 18, Sabrina Carpenter made her first appearance as SNL host and second as musical guest.
What time does ‘SNL’ air?
SNL airs at 11:30 p.m. EST / 8:30 p.m. PST.
Where can I watch ‘SNL’?
New episodes of SNL air live on NBC and Peacock on Saturdays (they’re available to stream later).
Who else is hosting and performing on ‘SNL’ this season?
Actor Glenn Powell, who appeared with Teller in Top Gun: Maverick and stars in the upcoming film The Running Man, is making his SNL hosting debut on Nov. 15. He’ll be joined by fellow SNL first-timer as musical guest, British artist Olivia Dean.
