Doubling Down With the Derricos star Deon Derrico announced a new show on a different network after his contract with TLC ended.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, the father of 14 took to Instagram with a direct message for fans.
“#TheDERRICOs is officially free agents and meeting with other networks for our new upcoming season of TheDERRICOs,” he captioned the update.
“Guess what today is?” he said in the accompanying video. “…It is officially the day that the Derricos are no longer signed with TLC. We have no obligation to TLC as of today. I have been waiting all this time to share this with you all. I am super excited.”
Deon then clarified that the network did not cancel Doubling Down With the Derricos, explaining, “We chose to no longer go forward with filming with TLC. That was totally done by us.”
Additionally, he shared that his family has “several other networks” that they have been “in talks with” for a new show.
“We are definitely coming back with the Derricos, but it will not be on TLC,” he continued. “…And don’t misunderstand me, TLC was great. We love TLC, we still love TLC, we still want to watch TLC. We just won’t be watching Doubling Down With the Derricos on TLC.”
Finally, Deon reiterated that there was “no falling out” between TLC and his family, just differing visions for where they wanted to take the show.

In the comments, fans reacted to the huge news, with one Instagram user declaring, “❤️❤️❤️👏🏾Can’t wait.”

Doubling Down With the Derricos aired for five seasons on TLC from 2000 to 2024. In the reality series, viewers watched Deon and his now ex-wife, Karen Derrico, navigate life with their 14 children. Their kids include: Darian; Derrick; twins Dallas and Denver; quintupletsDeniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician and Daiten; twins Diez and Dior; and tripletsDawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver.
