Dancing with the Stars Week 7 stirred up a lot of drama with both the fanbase and the contestants themselves. This week, Elaine Hendrix was unable to attend the actual performance due to an injury, but still received incredible scores based on her dress rehearsal. The actual performance was equally dramatic as Jen Affleck and her partner Jan Ravnik were voted off the show. Fellow Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt and her partner Mark Ballas were also on the chopping block, and many fans had issues with Whitney’s reaction. Moreover, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars even appeared to take jabs at each other behind the scenes.
Elaine Hendrix is an incredible actress and animal rights activist. She has had a number of notable roles throughout the years, but has proven that she is an incredible dancer during this season of Dancing With the Stars. Her performance during the Wicked season was nothing short of breathtaking. Unfortunately, she sustained an injury during her dress rehearsal that forced her to be rushed to the hospital via stretcher. Thankfully, she is making a full recovery and should be back in full swing for the next show.
The most drama from Week 7 stemmed from Jen and Jan’s surprise elimination. Obviously, since fellow Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt was also in the bottom three, fans were watching each of their reactions closely. Many felt that Whitney’s reaction to Jan’s elimination was disrespectful and that she was stifling a chuckle. Moreover, Jen and Jan said after the show, on their live show, that they would not be voting for Whitney. While they claimed this was in jest, there seems to be at least some animosity on both sides. However, some fans believe there is a different motivation for their beef.
The third season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is set to release in less than two weeks. It’s more than possible that both stars are just running additional publicity for the show. Although most of the conflict in the show seems to be genuine, it is heavily played up for the cameras. Nevertheless, Whitney and Jen’s spat seemed like another way to drum up publicity for the show.
Overall, this was a relatively intense week for Dancing With the Stars. After Elaine Hendrix’s injury during her dress rehearsal, many fans are worried about her performance for the rest of the season. Yet, she has assured them that they have no reason for concern. In the same breath, Jen’s elimination stirred a lot of drama simply because she was eliminated before Whitney. That said, there would probably be an equal amount of drama if Whitney were the one eliminated.
