While it seems like so many A-listers go to the Met Gala every year, and they do, there are quite a few stars that are reportedly banned from the event. How do you get banned from the Met Gala? A lot of the time, it’s allegedly because someone said or did something the Met Gala organizer and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour disapproved of. Stars like Lili Reinhart called out celebrities using archival, historical gowns for the vent, while others have had rivalries with Wintour, like Tim Gunn. And now, experts think the next star to get banned will be Jennifer Aniston.
In Aniston’s recent Vogue interview, she admitted she’s never gone to the Met Gala despite being invited. She said, “Yes, I have [been invited], but I don’t go… It’s the getting ready, the putting on the dress. I’m a ‘jeans and flip-flops and tank top’ kind of girl.” Both experts and insiders alike told Rob Shuter of #ShuterScoop that the comment allegedly didn’t sit well with Wintour.

“When you diminish the Met, Anna Wintour takes note,” one fashion executive said. “Her grudges are couture — tailored to fit and worn forever.”
And a style strategist said, “If she thought skipping was her choice, she might soon learn otherwise.”
It may seem like a frivolous comment, but fashion insiders claim Aniston may have just removed herself from ever getting an invite again.
