Carly Rae Jepsen is pregnant. The “Cut to the Feeling” singer took to Instagram on Monday to share the news, posting a series of photos of her husband, music producer Cole Marsden Greif-Neill, holding her pregnant belly. She captioned the black-and-white photos, “Oh hi baby.”
This will be the first child for the couple, who wed at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City in October, less than a month before their pregnancy announcement. Jepsen, who first went public with Greif-Neill (professionally known as Cole M.G.N.) in 2022, announced via an Instagram post in September 2024that she and her now-husband had gotten engaged. At the time, she shared a series of photos, captioning them, “Very engaged over here.”
The Canadian singer, who rose to fame in 2012 with her smash hit “Call Me Maybe,” met her partner when the two were paired together by her management to collaborate on Jepsen’s music. While a romance blossomed out of their working relationship, Jepsen said she wanted to keep her personal life with Greif-Neill private, even as they work together on new projects.
“I’m careful about [posting about the relationship] because it is something that I want to protect and keep for myself. But at the same time, it’s fun to show the development of something when you’re really excited about it, and I’m definitely very excited about him,” she told People in 2022. “We’ve done lots of things, but nothing for release — just for the joy of making.”
In 2023, the couple released the song “So Right,” a track off her 2023 album The Loveliest Time, which she told People in a separate interview was about the couple’s meet-cute.
“We’ll go traveling somewhere, and we’ll bring a little acoustic guitar,” she said. “I think you’ll see a lot more of our collaboration together for future projects, but this is our first little baby out in the world. We’re both so excited.”
