Another popular rock duo will cover one of the most well-known songs by the White Stripes when Jack and Meg White are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Twenty one pilots announced on their X page they will be performing, “Seven Nation Army” at the Rock Hall Induction Ceremony taking place on Saturday, November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, shown live on Disney+.
“Meg and Jack, thanks for having us be a part of your induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” the post on X read. “No group more deserving than the freaking White Stripes. Josh and I are working on ‘Seven Nation Army’ now, and hope to give it every bit of justice it deserves.”
Jack and Meg formed the White Stripes in Detroit in 1997, releasing six studio albums from 1999 to 2007. This was their second year being nominated, first being in 2023.
There’s no word on whether both of them will perform or even reunite at the Rock Hall Ceremony.
The 2025 Rock Hall class also includes first-time nominees Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Bad Company and Outkast, as well as Cyndi Lauper (2nd nomination) and Soundgarden (3rd nomination).
Salt-N-Pepa and the late Warren Zevon will get the Musical Influence Award. The late record producer Thom Bell, pianist Nicky Hopkins and bassist Carol Kaye will each get the Musical Excellence Award.
