Meet the country music singer at the center of Kash Patel’s recent controversy

Kash Patel has been in the headlines across the past couple of weeks because of accusations that he used an FBI jet to fly to State College to watch his girlfriend perform prior to a Real American Freestyle event on Oct. 25.

For folks who don’t know, Patel’s girlfriend is country music singer Alexis Wilkins. The uproar around Patel’s use of the jet grew to such a point that he issued a statement on X.

After writing that he was proud of the work that the FBI was doing, he got into the controversy about his trip … sort of.

“Let me be clear: we will not be distracted by baseless rumors or the noise from uniformed internet anarchists and the fake news,” he wrote. “I’ve always said — criticize me all you want. But going after the people doing great work, my personal life, or those around me is a total disgrace.

“The disgustingly baseless attacks against Elexis — a true patriot and the woman I’m proud to call my partner in life — are beyond pathetic,” he added. “She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I’m so blessed she’s in my life.”

Patel then claimed that “attacking her isn’t just wrong — it’s cowardly and jeopardizes our safety.”

“My love of family will always be my cornerstone, and you will never tear that down or keep me from them,” he continued. “I and this FBI will stay laser-focused on our mission and continue the reform we promised — rebuilding this Bureau from the ground up. And to our supposed allies staying silent — your silence is louder than the clickbait haters.”

Patel’s post received a community note on X that read, “People are largely not attack Kash Patel’s significant other, but rather reacting to his firing of people who point out his usage of government funds to travel to her shows.”

Whatever the case, Wilkins’ name might not be one that is familiar to many country music fans despite Patel’s claims that she is a “sensation.” She hasn’t quite hit star status yet, but she is also just 26 years old.

Taste of Country reported the two have been dating since 2023. The site said they first met at a ReAwaken America event. And, for the most part per the outlet, the romance was off-the-radar until Wilkins stood behind Patel when he was sworn-in as FBI Director in February.

The site said she has also filed a $5 million defamation case against podcaster Kyle Seraphin, who she claims accused her of being an Israeli spy and a “honeypot” manipulating Patel.
