According to Rob Shuter, a source claimed that the 76-year-old monarch renovated Wood Farm, which was the late Prince Philip’s private estate. Reportedly, he has decided to give it to his younger brother, who recently lost his “prince” title.
Palace insiders described the king’s move as “checkmate.” The Sandringham property was said to be Queen Elizabeth II’s husband’s retreat during his final years. Hence, it’s considered “historic” and a “symbol of parental blessing.” As per a courtier, if Andrew rejected the king’s offer, he would allegedly look “ungrateful.”
Charles has reportedly made changes in the interiors, giving it a “nicer” look. However, Shuter suggested that there’s a hint of “ruthless strategy” behind the monarch’s kindness.
