Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner, and “Southern Living” is shouting out Natchitoches in a recent Instagram post featuring an iconic north Louisiana mansion.
Based in Birmingham, the life and culture magazine tagged the city in a recent Instagram post with several holiday-themed memes featuring scenes from the hit movie “Steel Magnolias” with Julia Roberts and Sally Field.
And there’s good reason Natchitoches was mentioned. Much of “Steel Magnolias” was filmed there in 1989. The mansion at 320 Jefferson Street was a focal point in the iconic film
