Jamie Lee Curtis just showed everyone that she’s not afraid to bare it all.
The Halloween legend, 66, posted a barefaced selfie on Instagram on Friday, November 7, and shared a sweet message about self-acceptance and finding joy even in the middle of life’s chaos.
“It’s Freaky Friday,” she began, referencing her beloved 2003 body-swap comedy. “For the last weeks I have been promoting Ellamckay, Jim Brooks’s new masterwork about families and how to survive them as well as two different public celebrations of women in positions of power and possibility.”

Curtis went on to credit the “fantastic team of helpers” who’ve supported her both personally and professionally, adding that they’ve helped her maintain a “pulled together version” of herself. But the actress quickly pivoted to a moment of reflection that felt deeply personal and perfectly timed in today’s world of Photoshop, AI and more.
“The truth is that we all wake up and look in the mirror and when we do, we’re looking at the problem and the solution and the possibilities,” she wrote. “Right now I’m feeling hopeful and happy and very much here with all of you trudging our road of happy destiny, together!”
Curtis ended her post with one of her signature affirmations: “MAKE GOOD CHOICES today if you have them and fight for your RIGHT to have them if you don’t.”
The message struck a chord with fans who’ve long admired the Oscar winner’s commitment to authenticity. Curtis has been vocal for years about aging naturally. Over the years, she has rejected cosmetic enhancements and showed her real skin, lines and all, in a stance that has made her one of Hollywood’s most relatable icons.
“The concept that you can alter the way you look through chemicals, surgical procedures, fillers – there’s a disfigurement of generations of predominantly women who are altering their appearances,” the Knives Out actress previously told The Guardian in an interview published on July 26.
She continued, “And it is aided and abetted by AI, because now the filter face is what people want. I’m not filtered right now. The minute I lay a filter on and you see the before and after, it’s hard not to go: ‘Oh, well that looks better.’ But what’s better? Better is fake. And there are too many examples – I will not name them – but very recently we have had a big onslaught through media, many of those people.”
Her new post, paired with a glowing, makeup-free photo, feels like a continuation of the message that she’s perfectly comfortable in her own skin.
