Ever since season 12 finished on Hallmark earlier in 2025, folks have been begging for season 13. The WCTH cast and crew have kept viewers updated on filming, but Erin Krakow (a co-executive producer and the actress who plays Elizabeth Thornton) just surprised fans with news they weren’t expecting.
In an October 28 post on Instagram, Erin revealed that When Calls the Heart had finished filming season 13. She posted a photo of her and Kevin McGarry‘s feet on set (he plays Nathan Grant) and expressed her excitement about what’s to come in Hope Valley.
“That’s a wrap on @wcth_tv Season 13!” she wrote in the caption. “We’re proud, pleased, and pooped. That’s a lot of P words. 😉. Can’t wait to share this beautiful season with all of you!”
Erin wasn’t the only one thrilled about this When Calls the Heart update. Kevin was also excited—and voiced his enthusiasm in the comments.
“We’re getting worse at hitting our marks,” he jokingly replied.
WCTH has developed a loyal following over the years, and this season 13 update left fans ecstatic for what’s coming down the pipeline.

Isn’t this some heart-pumping TV news? While we don’t know an exact premiere date for When Calls the Heart season 13, we do know new episodes are expected to air on Hallmark sometime in 2026. What’s more, a number of guest stars will return to Hope Valley this season, including Melissa Gilbert (who plays Georgie McCall) and Brooke Shields (who portrays Elizabeth’s mother-in-law, Charlotte Thornton).
