Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended glamorous events in Los Angeles, but royal watchers had one major gripe.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made two appearances on Saturday evening, hours after the Royal Family attended the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall and before Sunday’s solemn ceremony at the Cenotaph.
Harry and Meghan were photographed at Baby2Baby’s annual gala, where they supported their friend, Serena Williams, who received an honor at the event, before heading to Kris Jenner’s birthday celebration. For the festive occasion, the pair looked elegant, with Harry wearing a tuxedo and Meghan dressed in all black, according to the Daily Express US.
However, Meghan’s turtleneck top seemed to be a different shade of black or a different fabric from her black skirt, and royal watchers were less than impressed. Many of them flocked to social media to voice their criticism, with one user posting on Instagram: “A polo neck jumper with a skirt — and they’re not even the same tone of black. Strange choice for a black tie event.”
A second user said: “I’m honestly horrified.”A third user added: “The only thing that bugs me is the different shades of black (top and skirt). It’s not always visible, but when you see it, you can’t unsee it.”
Meghan recently attended Paris Fashion Week and fans were shocked by her ensemble saying it looked like she was wearing a flat sheet from a bed.
Typically, Meghan wears streamlined silhouettes, so for her to step out wearing something so ill-fitted was surprising, especially considering the event was dedicated to fashion.
“We have a feeling that after two misses, the next time Meghan is out and about, we can expect to see something entirely different, possibly… a pattern,” one person stated.
