KATSEYE Unleashes Their Inner ‘Animal’ in New Music Video Starring Demi Moore

KATSEYE is showing fans what it means to run WILD.

The global girl group — which consists of Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung — released their newest single, “Animal,” with an accompanying music video on Friday, July 24.

The cinematic music video brings the flirtatious pop song to life by showing the members shifting between feminine and masculine personas — before ending up in utter chaos in a wardrobe closet. There, the members seemingly rush to put together outfits as Demi Moore observes and offers harsh feedback.

Then, Moore declares it’s time to “get wild” and the members’ suits quickly transform into sparkly outfits, and then they break into their signature dance numbers.

“Nobody knows you’re outta control / But I see a side behind the closed doors / They get a glimpse here on the dance floor,” they sing in the chorus. “You move like an animal.”

“Animal” was co-written by Ed Sheeran and is meant to explore “the tension between the polished versions of ourselves we present to the world and the uninhibited energy that emerges behind closed doors,” according to a press release.

The new release will be featured on their forthcoming EP WILD, which is set for release on Aug. 14. The EP will follow their 2025 EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS.

In addition to the album, the group is gearing up for the release of the film KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, which will give fans an inside look at their world, on Aug. 12.

The “Animal” music video was not the first time the band brought in a celebrity cameo. In June of last year, the band tapped Jessica Alba for the “Gabriela” music video, in which they fiercely compete to become the successor to a company CEO, who was played by the actress.

“We were like, ‘Wow, we’re such good actresses.’ And then Jessica Alba came in and this is a real actress,” Laforteza, 23, told Rolling Stone at the time. “This is her life, and when she came in, we were like, ‘S—, we all suck. That’s acting.’ We were all like, ‘Period!'”

In January, the band opened up to PEOPLE about their first-ever Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

“When we found out, we were all in tears, screaming, crying. It means so much to be recognized among so many people that have been in the industry for so long — and people that we look up to,” Raj, 20, said at the time, as Laforteza said it “didn’t even cross our minds.”
