Robert Pattinson is preparing to headline a gripping new Netflix thriller alongside Academy Award winner Denzel Washington.
The former Harry Potter star is currently enjoying praise for the psychological drama Die My Love, where he appears as Jackson, the on-screen partner to Jennifer Lawrence. As the acclamations continue, Pattinson is tackling an entirely different narrative in Netflix‘s Here Comes the Flood, which is already in production.
Helmed by Oscar nominee Fernando Meirelles, the film centers on several individuals caught up in a high-stakes heist. The streaming platform has so far shared only a brief synopsis of the project.
“Here Comes the Flood is an unconventional heist movie about a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief in a deadly game of cons and double crosses,” Netflix revealed.
Joining Washington and Pattinson is Danai Gurira. While specifics about her character remain secret, Gurira has built a reputation for commanding powerful roles.
Her most memorable performance came as sword-wielding survivor Michonne Hawthorne in the zombie franchise The Walking Dead. The Zimbabwean-American performer is equally recognized for her portrayal of warrior Okoye in Marvel’s Black Panther series.
The ensemble also includes Normal People breakout Daisy Edgar-Jones, who captivated audiences as conflicted student Marianne in the BBC sensation. This marks another foray into suspenseful territory for the actress, following her appearance opposite Sebastian Stan in the 2022 horror-thriller Fresh.
British actor Sean Harris, who won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actor for his performance in Channel 4’s Southcliffe, will also showcase his talents in the heist thriller.
Netflix subscribers will be pleased to see former child star Moisés Arias, best known for his role in Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana series.
Arias most recently appeared in Prime Video’s post-apocalyptic series Fallout, starring alongside Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins and Kyle MacLachlan.

Rounding out the main cast is Justin Kirk, recognized for his portrayal of Prior Walter in HBO‘s fantasy drama Angels in America. Succession viewers may also remember the actor as politician Jeryd Mencken.
Oscar nominee Simon Kinberg wrote Here Comes the Flood. He previously penned the original Mr. and Mrs. Smith film from the 2000s, along with several X-Men movies.
Netflix describes the thriller as one that “promises to keep you on the edge of your seat.”
