Interestingly, she even mentioned the character she wants DeVito to play in the series, and it’s not what we expected.
She said, “Oh my gosh. Well, I have to say, I don’t know how Danny DeVito hasn’t been cast already because Danny, I know. My husband was roommates with Danny. I was with him for our birthday in New York in September, and I was like, “Why isn’t Danny DeVito in Wednesday?” When asked which character she would want him to play, she said, “Cousin Itt. He’s going to kill me for that. He’s like, “Yeah, okay, you’re going to cast me and put hair all over my face. Thanks for suggesting that, Catherine. Thank you so much. Imagine Danny DeVito as Cousin Itt? That’d be so cool.”
DeVito’s introduction would be a worthy addition to a show that is already stacked with amazing actors. The aforementioned star is one of the most celebrated actors in Hollywood and has enthralled viewers with his impeccable acting skills. Although he has the potential to take the show to a whole new level, it would be really hard for the makers to cast him for a character like Cousin Itt.
