Naruto ended in 2014, and the fate of the franchise fell into the hands of the protagonist’s son, Boruto. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the sequel series, but it hasn’t nearly generated as much popularity as the original, with only 10 million copies sold since 2016. In recent years, new manga series have begun surpassing it, namely Dandadan, with 12 million copies sold.
