Miles Teller’s ‘Cheeseball Move’ Won Over His Wife Keleigh

Miles Teller recently dove into his romance with his current wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller, reminiscing about how she originally rebuffed his advances, but later his cute move earned him her number. The pair married in 2019. Here’s what the Whiplash star did that won Keleigh over.

Miles Teller was seemingly into Keleigh from the moment they met in 2013, but that was not the case for his now-wife, who initially did not reciprocate his advances.

“It was Grammys week in LA. We were both at this Black Keys party,” Teller revealed on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on November 10, 2025. “I just saw her and visually, I was like, ‘Well, that’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.’”

Teller continued, “And I was very confident at that age. Very overconfident…I hit on her and it I think it went OK. It went well enough. I went outside and I thought I bombed kind of my opening to her, and then I saw her come outside and like, look for me. I got back and then I started dancing with her.”

The actor decided to take a chance. He recalled, “I tried to kiss her,” but things didn’t go as planned. He added, “and she’s like, ‘No, I just met you.’ But I thought she gave me the look like, ‘This is OK.’”

After that awkward moment, Teller asked for her number, but she declined at first.

By the end of the night, however, things turned in his favor. He shared, “But then I went outside after she left and like 30 minutes after she left, she was still waiting for her car valet. So I put my coat on her said, ‘Oh, you look cold.’ Which I thought was a cheeseball move. She liked that s**t. And then I got her number.”

Things worked out well for the two. They married in 2019 and are still deeply in love. “If I’m not filming, I’m with her from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed,” he said. “And even when I’m filming, she’s on location with me. I never get sick of her.”
