Bangalter co-wrote, co-produced and plays bass on “Yoroï,” which appears on Orelsan’s recently-released album La fuite en avant. A representative for Bangalter told Pitchfork the pair “have been friends for some time, and Orelsan invited Thomas to make music together on one song for his latest album.”
The feature follows Bangalter’s recent surprise b2b2b2b with Busy P, Erol Alkan and Fred again.., which marked his first public DJ set since 2009. He played with the trio in Paris last month, as part of a lineup celebrating Because Music’s 20th anniversary.
