Witt Jr., 25, led all of baseball with 184 hits, a second consecutive season accomplishing that feat. He became the first player to do so since Whit Merrifield, also of the Royals, was tops in hits from 2018-19.
Witt Jr. also led the majors with 47 doubles last season.

Among all shortstops, Bobby Witt Jr. ranked in the following categories:
- hits-first

According to the Royals, Witt Jr. is the first player in major league history to record at least 20 home runs and 30 steals in each of his first four seasons. He is also one of four players ever to record at least 100 home runs and 100 steals through four seasons (Bobby Bonds, Darryl Strawberry and Julio Rodríguez).
Defensively, Bobby Witt Jr. tied for the major league lead among all players in 2025 with 24 Outs Above Average, according to Baseball Savant. The shortstop started 153 games at the position and made just 10 errors.

He has already been recognized this offseason with a Rawlings Platinum Glove Award, a Rawlings Gold Glove Award and was named the Silver Slugger Award winner among American League shortstops.
With just four MLB seasons under his belt, Witt Jr. is putting together quite the resume: a two-time All-Star, a two-time Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner, a Rawlings Platinum Glove Award winner, a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner, a Major League batting champion and now has twice been named First Team All-MLB at shortstop.
