SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Originally launched in 2021, Angel Studios’s streaming service is bringing audiences “stories that amplify light,” according to Chris Woolsey, Head of Hype at Angel Studios.

“Every month, you can depend on Angel to bring you movies and TV shows that will enrich your lives and those of your family,” Woolsey said. “There is a world of values-driven content that you are absolutely going to love.”
Angel boasts a wide range of movies and shows of all genres, including “Homestead: the Series,” a continuation of the 2024 film “Homestead.”
“This is a riveting drama about a group of survivors of a nuclear attack who seek refuge in a prepper compound in the Rocky Mountains,” Woolsey said. “I cannot say enough good things about it. If you like taut thrillers, this is the series for you.”

For a more lighthearted show, Angel offers “The Promised Land,” a mockumentary comedy similar to “The Office.” It is based on the Book of Exodus and follows Moses and Miriam as they lead their followers through the deserts of Egypt to the promised land.
“It is one of the funniest sitcoms on TV right now,” Woolsey said. “The performances are out of this world. Not only is this series better than I thought it was going to be, it’s actually better than I thought it could possibly be.”
For fans of animated series, Angel also has “The Wingfeather Saga,” based on the novel series of the same name by Andrew Peterson. It follows the Igiby family, who embark on adventures to find their place in the world as the evil Fangs of Dang pursue them.

“It is really one of the most exciting animated series of our time,” Woolsey said. “My family loves it, and I even have older kids who are really into it as well. It’s a beautiful piece of art and a fantastic story. If your kids like fantasy, this is definitely the series for your family to check out.”
