Heads up, The Pitt fans: We uncovered a surprise you’ll want to tune in for before season 2.

The hit HBO Max drama only premiered in January 2025, but The Pitt has already developed quite a following. It won multiple awards at the 2025 Emmys and earned a second season. So it’s only right that we get some more good news ahead of the season 2 premiere on January 8, 2026.

Well, Warner Bros. Discovery (a.k.a. the parent company that owns HBO Max) decided to give cable television viewers an early holiday gift on November 10, ahead of The Pitt premiering its new season. According to an official press release (per Variety), the drama is set to air all of season 1 on TNT beginning Monday, December 1, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET.

But that’s not all. Given how The Pitt is known for showcasing the gritty moments of working in a hospital emergency room, TNT will not be censoring any scenes.

It’s no surprise that fans were ecstatic about this news on social media.

“LET’S GOOOOOOOOO! 🔥,” one person wrote on Instagram. “MY FAVORITEEEEEE 😩,” another exclaimed. “Back on shift 🔜,” a different follower added.

Now, we’re certainly ecstatic to see Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, and other cast members back on our TV screens! And with The Pitt season 2 airing so soon, it’s only right that we get a unique recap before the new episodes begin.

The Pitt‘s 15-episode season 1 will air three back-to-back episodes over five weeks. Meaning: Fans will get to see The Pitt premiere every Monday from December 1 through December 29.

“All of us at The Pitt are very excited that the TNT audience will have the opportunity to see our Emmy award-winning show beginning on December 1st,” The Pitt executive producer John Wells said in a statement (per Vulture). “We’re also very grateful to TNT for allowing the series to be shown as it was initially shot and aired on HBO Max.”

Consider us excited and ready to go!
