Jelly Roll did not enjoy his trip Down Under.
The country singer, 40 (real name: Jason DeFord) appeared on an episode of the No Filter podcast last week — which was recorded while he was still touring in Australia — and admitted he was in a bad mental state.
“I’m falling apart. It’s a horrible week. I’m doing the worst mentally I’ve done in a long time,” he told host Kate Langbroek. “I’m really far from home and it’s really hitting me that I’m really far from home, like in an anxious way.”
The “Need a Favor” hitmaker explained that he had been dealing with stomach issues since he got to Australia.
“When my stomach’s not right, nothing’s right,” he remarked. “My mind’s not right. Everything. I’m just not thinking clear.”

“Naturally, like everybody wants to go home when they’re sick,” he added. “I just don’t feel good. So I just want to go home.”
Additionally, the 7-time Grammy-nominated musician — who has been married to Bunnie Xo for eight years — shared that he has been alone a lot since getting there, which has taken a toll on him.
“Because of the way the tour’s set up in this country with no tour buses, I’m like, having to be super isolated,” he revealed. “I don’t like it. I’m like, spending a lot of time in my hotel room by myself, just in my head. I don’t like it. I’m not having fun, man, I want to go home.”
Jelly Roll played multiple shows in Australia from October through early November.
