Based on the Stephen King novel, the action-thriller follows a desperate father (Powell) who agrees to compete on a deadly TV series where contestants must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins. If the plot sounds familiar it’s because The Running Man was adapted before, in a 1987 version starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. But the 2025 remake is said to be more faithful to the book, in part because it’s set in multiple international locations, as opposed to just Los Angeles.

The Running Man is not yet available to stream, but in keeping with today’s typical theatrical windows, it’ll likely be available to rent or purchase digitally in as little as 30 days (and no more than 45). Because it’s a Paramount Pictures release, the movie will arrive on Paramount+ when it’s available to stream, which will be further down the road.
When will The Running Man 2025 be streaming?
Paramount has not set a streaming date for The Running Man just yet, but if the movie follows a similar rollout to Gladiator II or Naked Gun — a 2024 and 2025 offering from Paramount, respectively — it could be available to stream in two months from now, by mid-January.
