Since welcoming their daughter, Malti, in 2022, Nick Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, have tried to keep her as private as possible. The 3½-year-old made her big movie debut in A Very Jonas Christmasalongside her parents.
The Christmas movie premiered on Hulu and Disney+ just in time for the holidays, with Malti appearing in the last scene of the movie. In the scene, Nick is seen hugging and kissing his wife, while Malti sits in Priyanka’s arms. Like most of her public appearances, Malti’s face is turned away from the camera.
The scene also has the parents laughing and smiling as Malti is adorable as ever, sitting inside a Christmas-wrapped box.
In the glow of Christmas decorations and a tree, Malti is seen wearing a black outfit and a silver headband. Earlier in the movie, Nick also FaceTime’s his wife and daughter.
A Very Jonas Christmas follows Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas as the famous brothers fight to the last minute to get home in time for the holidays. Along the way, they encounter a few hiccups as they make the chaotic journey from London to New York.
The movie also stars Chloe Bennet, KJ Apa, Andrea Martin, Randall Park, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Laverne Cox, Billie Lourd, and Kenny G. Kevin’s wife, Daniella Jonas also makes an appearance.
Nick and Priyanka welcomed their daughter through surrogacy three years ago and made it a point to hide her face from the cameras. Priyanka has previously stated she doesn’t want her daughter to be “gossip.”
“I’ve been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter … because it’s not about my life only. It’s hers too,” she said to British Vogue.
While still posting family photos on social media, Malti made her first public appearance in January 2023. Fans got to see just how much she looks like Nick when the Jonas Brothers were honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
