A source says Tay wanted to play homage to Elizabeth Taylor by shooting scenes in London, where she was born.
Looks like Taylor Swift might (emphasis on might) be blessing us with another music video from The Life of a Showgirl.
British outlet The Sun reports that the Grammy-winner has secretly been in London filming the video for her hit song “Elizabeth Taylor.” Take this with a grain of salt, but the shoot is said to be “top secret” and pays homage to the song’s namesake.
“Taylor is super excited to be back in London filming for her new music video,” a source teases. “Elizabeth Taylor is a British icon and Taylor wants to pay homage by shooting scenes in the capital. Taylor has always written about her love for London, and the video will capture different locations around the city.”
Taylor revealed the inspiration behind “Elizabeth Taylor” back in October, saying, “My parents sent me this clip of Elizabeth Taylor’s son saying something very flattering, that if there were one person he might compare to his mother in the modern day, in terms of persona and…the chaos around us, he said it would be me. I was so flattered by that. I just immediately started talking to Travis about it.”
She added, “I was going on and on about Elizabeth Taylor, talking about all the things about her that I loved…how she kept challenging herself late into her life. I had to get out of the car, I was like, ‘One sec, I have to get out of the car for a second,’ and I just sang this melody into my phone, got back in the car and…that’s what it’s like when it happens.”
