Two years after the sale of Bam Entertainment Center in Holland, the business is getting a new name.
According to an announcement on social media, the entertainment destination at 478 E. 16th St. will soon be called Lucky Strike Holland. The change doesn’t signify another shift in ownership — Bowlero Corp. (which purchased Bam in 2023) also acquired Lucky Strike Entertainment, and announced a subsequent rebranding in December 2024.
The company, at that time, voiced an intention to transform over 75 locations into Lucky Strike in 2025 and 2026.
Frequenters of the business can expect other changes, too, the post hints.
“Lucky Strike is more than just bowling,” the post read. “It is an elevated entertainment destination, taking what you know and love up a level. Imagine exciting new playlists, craft menus, and signature cocktails, all in a vibrant, high-energy venue.”
Phil Huffman, the center’s previous longtime owner, called the name change “inevitable,” and agreed it makes sense from a business perspective.
“Of course, I will always be partial to the name Bam, just like the people I bought it from were probably fond of the name Century Lanes,” Huffman said. “Life goes on. I (wish) Lucky Strike all the best.”
Lucky Strike, in total, has over 360 locations across North America. They are reportedly the largest owner and operator of bowling centers worldwide, with more than 13,000 bowling lanes.
New signage wasn’t posted Nov. 18, and Lucky Strike didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on timing. As part of the change, the business will now have a new Facebook page — Lucky Strike Holland.
Bam remains home to traditional bowling, billiards, duckpin bowling, laser tag, an arcade, axe throwing, air hockey, foosball and a sports bar.
