Mötley Crüe is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the band’s debut next year by going on tour.
The band will kick off “The Return of The Carnival of Sins” tour on July 17 in Pennsylvania and conclude it on Sept. 26 in Washington. The 33-date tour will include a stop at Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Aug. 1, 2026.
Not only will the tour commemorate Mötley Crüe’s 1981 debut, it will also mark 20 years since the band’s groundbreaking “Carnival of Sins tour,” giving fans a chance to experience a reimagined show and updated setlist.
“Bringing back the spirit of Carnival of Sins has been a blast, and we wanted to take it even further for its 20th anniversary,” Mötley Crüe said in a joint statement. “This new show is for the Crüeheads who’ve been with us through it all and for the new Crüeheads who didn’t get to experience Carnival of Sins last time around. Get ready — we’re coming your way and we can’t wait to see you next summer.”
A presale will begin Wednesday at noon local time while general on-sale tickets will be available starting at 9 a.m. Friday. Through the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative, $1 from every ticket will be donated to ASAP! (After School Arts Program). The initiative works to provide students with hands-on programs in music and the arts.
Mötley Crüe had been teasing the “Return of the Carnival of Sins” on social media the past few days by posting pictures of sword swallowers, two-headed snakes and even a “goat-headed boy.” The announcement comes roughly six weeks after the band wrapped up their 2025 Las Vegas residency. The residency was postponed after lead singer Vince Neil had multiple strokes just after Christmas last year.
In a September interview with SiriusXM’s Eddie Trunk, Neil said he felt “95 percent good” during the residency, but added he was still getting used to performing again.
“There’s things that I can’t do on stage still. It’s hard to run back and forth on that stage,” the singer said. “That stage is so huge. But I’m getting used to it.”
In addition to Neil, Mötley Crüe consists of bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee. It is unclear if original guitarist Mick Mars, who left the group in 2022, will be joining the tour.
To coincide with the tour’s announcement, Mötley Crüe is selling the “Theatre Of Pain 40th Anniversary Deluxe” box set in honor of the band’s 1985 album. The box set features reimagined artwork, the newly remastered album on color vinyl, a never-before-released 1985 Long Beach live concert (2LP), rare demo recordings (1LP), and a 76-page hardcover book packed with never-before-seen photos and memories from MötleyCrüe’s Theatre of Pain era.
