Disco Biscuits and Bern gallery create collab

BURLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – The Disco Biscuits started in the mid-late 90s and have been touring ever since. ABC22/FOX44 was able to catch up with one of the bands founders and bass player, who tells us they have been playing in Vermont for more than 20 years.

We’ve played probably a hundred shows between you know Memorial Gymnasium, Patrick Auditorium, we played Spring Fest at UVM one year, you know countless shows at the Higher Ground. We played at Rutland last year at the Paramount Theatre I think it was called, we love Vermont.

For their return to Vermont, The Bern Gallery and the biscuits did a collaboration. Paddy Donnelly, the dispensary’s brand ambassador, says they took their most popular strain, and one of the biscuits older tracks, to create a cartridge called, “Aquatic Ape,” named after the song. He also says why they chose the collab for be in cartridge form.

We wanted it to be portable, a show going item. People could step out, enjoy it there, you know enjoy it on the way back to their hotel whatever. It just kind of made sense that a lot of people are coming in from out of town and wanted it to be convenient.

Brownstein says they wouldn’t have done a collab like this with just anyone.

For us, putting our name on a product, we need it to be at the highest level, the highest quality. We know that, we have standards when it comes to doing collaborations, whatever kind of product it is. And I knew right then, I was like, this is, this is the spot.

They played one show on Wednesday and have another Thursday before heading out to Buffalo.
