Foo Fighters earn their 13th No. 1 and second this year on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, as “Asking for a Friend” leads the survey dated Nov. 29.
The song reigns with 5.7 million audience impressions in the week ending Nov. 20, a boost of 6%, according to Luminate.

“Asking for a Friend” follows the eight-week reign of predecessor “Today’s Song” in July-September. That rule was ended by Sublime’s “Ensenada,” which led the chart for the ensuing 10 weeks before being supplanted by “Asking for a Friend.”
Foo Fighters add to their chart-leading tally of No. 1s since the ranking begin in 2009. It’s their first ruler to feature new drummer Ilan Rubin, who joined the band in July.

Concurrently, “Asking for a Friend” rises 3-2 on Mainstream Rock Airplay and holds at its No. 5 best on Alternative Airplay.
The song also ranked at No. 8 on the most recently published, multimetric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart (dated Nov. 22, reflecting data accumulated Nov. 7-13). In addition to its radio airplay, it drew 494,000 official U.S. streams in that span.
“Asking for a Friend” is currently a standalone single released alongside Foo Fighters’ announcement of a stadium tour set for next summer.
