Bo Derek, best known for her roles in films like A Change of Seasons and Tommy Boy, is celebrating her 69th birthday on Thursday, Nov. 20. Derek, whose real name is Mary Cathleen Collins, has proven time and time again that she’s still got it.
Derek is married to actor John Corbett and the couple lives on a farm in Santa Ynez, California. The two live a relatively quiet, private life with their animals, including their three German Shepards and five horses. Though Derek is not officially retired, she has not appeared in any television of film projects since 2021 and she doesn’t have any upcoming projects listed for 2026, , according to her IMDb page.

The actress is fairly active on social media, sharing some of the things that she’s been up to in her apparent semi-retirement. Most recently, she uploaded a photo of Corbett chatting with actress Patricia Arquette.
“John recently bumped into Patricia Arquette, who was his first audition partner for a Hollywood movie in 1986! We think she’s the best,” Derek captioned a post on Nov. 17.
Back on June 12, Derek shared some exciting news with fans — she partnered with Mainstreetchamber Holdings LLC to launch her very own bedding and furniture line called “Perfect 10,” an apparent callback to her breakout film role in “10.”
“Thrilled to share this beautiful feature in Total Licensing on the launch of Perfect 10 — a brand that represents wellness, beauty, and timeless standards,” she captioned an Instagram post.
“Huge thanks to my longtime publicist and dear friend Rona Menashe, to Larry Kozin, CEO of MainStreetChamber Holdings, MSCH President Tommy Meharey, and to the entire Perfect 10 team for believing in this vision and helping bring it to life,” she continued, adding, “This is just the beginning — I’m so excited for what’s ahead as we build something meaningful and lasting together. This is going to be fun!”
