Kate Middleton reveals secret to her new look after sending fans wild

Since her return to royal work in September, Kate has had a much blonder hue to her hair, and the secret to her new look has been confirmed.

Actress Su Pollard revealed that she spoke to the princess, saying: “I like your hair, it looks a lot lighter.”

To which the princess revealed: “It used to be brown, but it’s gone light in the sunshine,” the Mail claims.

The princess reportedly revealed the detail during a backstage interaction at the event.

The Royal Variety Performance was the first time the Prince and Princess of Wales had been seen together on a red carpet in two years.

Princess Kate returned to royal duties in September, and her new hair shade caused quite a stir.

The Princess of Wales also unveiled her longest ever hair at the Natural History Museum in September. When fans saw the princess return to the red carpet, they were quick to take to social media to comment on the look.

One fan said: “She looks gorgeous, but gosh, she must be chilly!”

Another fan wrote: “She’s absolutely spectacular!”

A fourth added: “One of my favourite colours! Absolutely love the dress and the accessories.”

The sold-out dress was from Talbot Runhof, and the co-founder, Adrian Runhof, revealed that the company was only notified half an hour before the dress sent social media into a frenzy.

“Our name and our dress have been posted worldwide, so we are very thankful to her,” Mr Runhof told People magazine.

He continued: “We think she is great, we respect her, and it’s a great honour for us that she picked this dress, that she obviously liked it enough to buy it and select it for the event last night.

“I think she bought it a few seasons ago and found it in her wardrobe and thought, ‘Why don’t I wear this? It’s so beautiful’.”
