Sarah Ferguson is considering ‘six-figure offers’ for a tell-all interview in the wake of losing her Duchess of York title.
Palace officials fear the the 66-year-old could go ‘rogue’ after she was ousted from the Royal Family, an insider has said.
It follows her downfall this month amid more revelations about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s dealings with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and as The Mail on Sunday uncovered an email the former duchess had written to the disgraced financier.
Ms Ferguson had apologised profusely in the communication for dissociating from Epstein publicly following his conviction in 2008 for procuring a girl under 18 for sex.
A source has now told The Sun the royals are likely to worry about the prospect of Ms Ferguson going rogue – ‘but there’s not much they can do to stop her’.
It is possible she could sit down again with Oprah Winfrey who has interviewed her before.
The source said: ‘There’s a danger of her going rogue and saying things that could cause embarrassment for King Charles and Queen Camilla, or other members of the family.’
‘Significant’ bids for an interview are said to have already been made by US channels alongside talks with networks in the Gulf States and the UK.

Though, representatives for the former Duchess of York are reportedly desperate to avoid a ‘Maitlis scenario’ following her ex-husband Andrew’s disastrous interview with journalist Emily Maitlis on Newsnight in 2019.
But a source said: ‘Andrew has had his chances to tell his story. Now it’s Fergie’s time.’
An insider went on to claim Ms Ferguson had received offers from ‘all over the world’ and was now ‘thinking things over very carefully’.
The source said the mother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie was aware a televised interview would be ‘make or break’ in terms of salvaging her reputation and that it would give her a chance to ‘spell out the fact she knew nothing’ about Epstein and what his associates were getting up to.
Ms Ferguson is ‘keen to answer questions’ as she believes she has been ‘harshly treated’, the source added.
Sarah Ferguson lost her duchess title last month when King Charles stripped his brother Andrew of his titles last month, ousting him from the monarchy.
The pair, who divorced more than 30 years ago, will also need to leave their shared home – the 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor – by the end of January.
Ms Ferguson had been weathered multiple scandals over the years but appears to have been fatally wounded by the Jeffrey Epstein connection.

Particularly damning was an email published last month by the Mail on Sunday which she wrote to the convicted paedophile after he had been released from prison and she had publicly distanced herself from him.
Following an interview in which she described her involvement with him as a ‘gigantic error of judgement’, she privately apologised for calling him the ‘P-word’ and described him as her ‘supreme friend’.
A spokesman for Ms Ferguson insisted she had been forced into writing the email because Epstein had threatened her.
But in the wake of the latest scandal she was dropped by numerous charities with whom she had long-term philanthropic associations, including the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The former duchess, who previously admitted to borrowing £15,000 from Epstein to pay off her debts, has also been accused of taking significantly larger sums from the shamed financier. Such claims have previously been denied.
Ms Ferguson will not be following her ex-husband to Sandringham in Norfolk when she loses her home as she plans to make her own arrangements in the future, according to sources, which may even include living abroad.
Earlier this week, the Mail revealed Ms Ferguson’s new children’s work is being ‘pulped’.
Publishing sources said 10,000 copies of ‘Flora and Fern: Kindness Along The Way’ are ‘being sent to the recycling centre’.

Her latest book was about two rabbits, one of which becomes ‘lost in the big city’ and sets out on an adventure, learning about ‘kindness and community’ on the way
A source confirmed on Tuesday: ‘It’s not been delayed, it’s being pulped.
‘It’s an acknowledgement of the inevitable. No one is going to want to buy it.’
A spokesman for Sarah declined to comment. New Frontier Publishing did not respond to a request for comment.
The £12.99 book was long scheduled to be published on October 9 but then mysteriously delayed to a November 20 release.
In-person signings and talks in bookshops by Sarah were also pulled, but there has been a deafening silence from the ex-duchess or her publishers about her future as an author.
