Prince William and Princess Kate are making time for love.
With King Charles III continuing to battle cancer — and their inevitable ascent to the throne drawing nearer — the already busy couple have been “sneaking away for little weekend breaks while they still have the chance,” a source reveals to Star. “They keep it very hush-hush.”
Indeed, the pair are always “discreet” about their destinations, says the source.
“There are plenty of royal properties that can host them,” notes the source. “They can pop over to Scotland any time, which they intend to do early next year.”
Romantic getaways aren’t the only trips Kate, 43, and William, also 43, have planned.
“A vacation in Mustique, with the kids, is also in the works,” dishes the source.

Once the couple — who are parents to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — become king and queen, “the workload and time required will quadruple,” shares the source. “They’ve already been called upon to take on more responsibility, so they have a very real idea of what awaits them.”
As of now, Charles, 77, continues to make appearances nearly two years into his cancer diagnosis.
“It’s not something they like to think about, but Charles is aging, he’s having health issues, and everyone is hyper-aware that William and Kate will have to replace him sooner rather than later,” spills the source. “When that happens, it could be easy to become like ships passing in the night — but William and Kate are saying they won’t let that happen. They’re being proactive to nurture their connection.”
