Vidanta is preparing to introduce commissionable booking access tied to the opening of new hotels and entertainment elements at VidantaWorld, alongside new tools and education resources for travel advisors, as major components of the destination debut beginning next month.

The BON Hotel at VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta and the Jungala Hotel at VidantaWorld Riviera Maya will be the first Vidanta properties to enter trade distribution with commissionable access. The openings coincide with the December launch of Cirque du Soleil’s “Ludo” and precede the September 2026 premiere of BON Luxury Theme Park.

Grupo Vidanta executive vice president Ivan Chavez said the expansion marks a shift in the company’s distribution strategy. “We’ve never really had to push to get new distribution to the properties because we were always full,” he said. “But now we have parks to fill, shows to fill, and we want to find the best clients.”

He added that Vidanta intends to build long-term relationships with advisors as the project launches. “We want to build a beautiful relationship with [the] trade, and we want to earn their trust,” he said. “We want to work very hard for the travel agents to know that … they send to the best of all possible worlds.”

Trade resources coming in early 2026

To support that positioning, Vidanta will launch the VidantaWorld Travel Advisor Academy in January, offering dedicated training modules and sales tools. The company has also hired industry veteran Dianna Rom, formerly of Windstar Cruises, as senior vice president of sales, responsible for trade engagement.

The VidantaWorld project includes Cirque du Soleil’s “Ludo,” opening Dec. 16, and BON Luxury Theme Park, scheduled to open Sept. 26, 2026. BON will operate with limited capacity and exclusive access for resort guests during its first year. Chavez said that the decision is intended to control crowding and maintain service levels.

The theme park will feature 23 attractions, 25 restaurants and a Cirque du Soleil zone. According to Vidanta, bundled packages that include park access and “Ludo” will also be commissionable through agency channels once released.

Chavez said the company sees demand coming from multigenerational families, adults seeking premium resort environments and affluent travelers who have historically turned to cruise entertainment or major U.S. theme park operators. Pricing will be comparable to U.S. theme-park competitors, with tickets selling for approximately $150 per person per day.

More information on commission structures, integrated booking paths and packaged access to performances and attractions is expected before the advisor academy rolls out next year.
