Here’s where Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift landed on Spotify Wrapped 2025

Spotify Wrapped 2025 is here! USA TODAY’s Ralphie Aversa takes a look at some of the chart toppers, with reporting from Anna Kaufmann.

Ready to find out which catchy pop earworm or emotional breakup ballad you listened to the most this year? Spotify Wrapped for 2025 is here.

Every year, Spotify creates a neatly packaged presentation of each user’s listening habits from the past 12 months – a gimmick the music app has pushed annually since the 2010s. It has since become a highly anticipated feature, with many using Spotify Wrapped as an opportunity to share their music stats with friends.

Spotify released its latest version of Wrapped on Wednesday, Dec. 3, complete with several new features, including a collaborative experience where you can compare stats with people you know in real time.

Here’s what to know about 2025 Spotify Wrapped.

How to access your 2025 Spotify Wrapped

Spotify Wrapped is available for both free and premium Spotify users.

To access your 2025 Spotify Wrapped, first make sure your app is updated. Then, open the app and look for the Wrapped feed at the top of your home screen. You can also scan the QR code at this link.

To be eligible for this year’s Spotify Wrapped, the app says you must have streamed at least 30 songs for more than 30 seconds each and listened to at least five different artists in 2025.

New features of 2025 Spotify Wrapped

As always, 2025 Spotify Wrapped features users’ total minutes listened, top songs of the year, top artists, top genres, and top podcasts.

And, like in recent years, you could see a “thank you” video message from one of your top artists. Bad Bunny, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, sombr, and Glass Animals are among the artists who recorded them.

However, this year’s Spotify Wrapped has a host of new features to keep things interesting, including a fan leaderboard. If you’re loyal to a particular artist, you may see your rank among their listeners based on total minutes streamed.

Spotify will also display your “listening age” – the result of comparing your listening habits to other users in your age group. If you listen to tunes from the previous decades, you might be assigned an older listening age.

Additionally, listeners are prompted to answer a multiple-choice question to guess which song they played most this year. Spotify has also added a feature that visualizes how a user’s top five artists shifted in their rankings month by month.

Another new feature in Spotify Wrapped sorts users into six “clubs,” each representing a “unique listening style”: Cloud State Society, Grit Collective, Club Serotonin, Full Charge Crew, Cosmic Stereo Club, and Soft Hearts Club.

If you have high-energy songs bumping on repeat, you might be assigned to the Full Charge Crew. Or, if you’re into those slower ballads, you could be a member of the Soft Hearts Club.

You’ll also score a personalized playlist of your top 100 songs of the year (an annual feature), but this year, each track includes a count of how many times you listened to it.

Additionally, Spotify Wrapped now shows users their top albums, top audiobook genres, and recorded “thank you” messages from their favorite authors and podcasters.

AI-powered listening archive introduced in 2025 Spotify Wrapped

This year’s Spotify Wrapped also introduces a new Listening Archive feature, which offers users “personalized snapshots” of their most memorable streaming days, the app said.

“Powered by AI, this feature delivers up to five unique reports based on your daily listening,” Spotify said in a statement.

For instance, users might see summaries of their listening habits on New Year’s Day, their biggest overall listening day, their most nostalgic day, or the day they had the most songs on repeat.

The archive is the only feature powered by AI, according to Spotify.

Wrapped Party allows friends to compare stats in real time

Spotify’s novel Wrapped Party feature lets friends join a virtual room to compare their listening stats from the year in real-time. One user creates the party in the Spotify app and invites others via a link or unique code.

“See who streamed the most minutes, who discovered the rarest listen, and who discovered the most new artists this year. Spot the friend who was most obsessed with their top artist and find out whom you’re most (or least) musically compatible with,” Spotify said.

Participants can react to each stat with emoji buttons, including the flame emoji and the thumbs-down emoji.

Each individual Wrapped Party receives an award that reflects the group’s listening habits, such as The Onion Chopper Award, The Eternal Optimist Award, or The Hopeless Romantic Award.

When has Spotify Wrapped come out previously?

Spotify Wrapped is typically released in late November or early December, and the company keeps the release date a secret until the day of.

Last year, Spotify Wrapped was released on Dec. 4. In 2023, it came out a bit earlier, on Nov. 29.

In 2022, users were able to access Spotify Wrapped on Nov. 30. In both 2021 and 2020, it was released on Dec. 1.

In 2019, Spotify Wrapped was released on Dec. 5. In 2018, it came out on Dec. 6.

When does Spotify stop tracking your listening to create your Wrapped for the year?

User data is collected from Jan. 1 through the fall of that same year to produce a user’s Spotify Wrapped.

After social media posts speculated that Spotify stops tracking listening activity on Oct. 31 each year to create Wrapped, the company assured users that it continues to track people’s habits beyond Halloween.

As for when the platform actually stops tracking, there’s no official date, but many pinpoint its cutoff for Wrapped around mid-to-late November.

How long has Spotify been releasing its end-of-year statistics to users?

Spotify Wrapped came out in 2015 with its “Year in Music” feature, allowing users to see which artists they listened to most over the previous 365 days. Over the years, the platform has added more graphic design and data personalization to the feature, later changing the name to “Spotify Wrapped.”
