LOVELAND

Winter Wilderness Show

An opening reception for the Winter Wilderness Show will be held at 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Wilderness Art Quarry, 4412 W. Eisenhower Blvd.

The evening will feature artists, holiday-themed snacks and refreshments and featured work curated specifically for celebrating the winter season.

The show, featuring work from Quarry member artists, will be on display through Jan. 31.

Holiday Music

The Loveland Concert Band Small Ensemble will give a holiday music performance at 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Big Thompson Brewery, 114 E. 15th St.

The band will present a selection of festive tunes, and will be collecting donations of canned goods for the House of Neighborly Services. Those attending are asked to bring nonperishable items to donate.

LuneAtics Lounge

A new artistic salon series, LuneAtics Lounge: The Muse Sessions will open at 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at The Love Shack, 120 E. Fourth St.

The event will be an intimate evening of creativity, connection and conversation, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the process of making art, featuring live music, movement, theatre, and open dialogue with the artists who bring it all to life.

The first episode, “Glimmers and Shadows,” explores the small sparks of hope, gratitude and transformation that light our creative paths.

The evening begins with conversation and creative networking before diving into the process and inspiration of theater artist Erica Withrow, followed by a collaborative Songwriters’ Circle featuring Leah Casper, Elise Wunder and Menyus Borocz. The night finishes with a full band performance from L. Casper and the LuneAtics, celebrating the group’s first official release and sharing their creative process.

A $10-$25 donation is suggested.

Fourth Street Update

Sean Hawkins, executive director for the Loveland Downtown Development Authority to provide an update on sewer and water line replacement along Fourth Street for the Loveland Historical Society at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Loveland Museum, 503 N. Lincoln Ave.

He will discuss how it’s affecting downtown businesses, and how downtown is going to look when it’s all completed.

The program is free and open to the public; donations are accepted.

In 2026, Loveland Historical Society meetings will shift to the third Thursday of each month.

Poetry Program

Melissa Mitchell, the 2024-26 Fort Collins Poet Laureate, will explore the poetry of Vietnamese American poet Ocean Vuong at noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Gertrude Scott room of the Loveland Public Library, 300 N. Adams Ave.

In addition to learning about Vuong and his poetry, attendees will have an opportunity to write during the event.

Vuong is the author of the poetry collections “Time is a Mother,” a finalist for the Griffin prize, and “Night Sky with Exit Wounds,” a New York Times Top 10 Books and winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize.

The program will be the first in the 2025-26 Loveland Poet Laureate Program Encountering a Poet Series. Two other events will be held in early 2026. On Jan. 3, Camile Dungy’s work will be presented by Loveland poet Celia Turner, and on Feb. 7 local poet Mark Sanchez will guide the attendees through the poetry of Richard Hugo.

Find Your Light Drive

Find Your Light Mental Wellness Theatre will hold a Community Garage Sale at 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Find Your Light Theatre Studio, 315 E. Fourth St.

The group is accepting donated items to help raise money for its building campaign.

Social Security Workshops

A Social Security Workshop will be offered at 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, Dec. 9-11, at the Chilson Recreation Center, 700 E. Fourth St.

FORT COLLINS

Holiday Lights Cruise

Rusty Pooler and Rare Air Dub Club – VW, a Volkswagen enthusiast group in Northern Colorado, will hold a Holiday Lights Cruise, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Ed Carroll Motor Co., 3003 S. College Ave.

The first stop will be at an extended care facility in Loveland, followed by a trip through downtown Loveland.

The event is open to all manner of cool rides as long as they are willing to deck out their vehicles with lights, and are cool with club guidelines.

Elizabeth Hotel Music

The fourth annual Elizabeth Hotel Music Experience will be held at 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Elizabeth Hotel, 111 Chestnut St.

The Colorado Gives Day show will benefit KRFC 88.9 and local musicians.

The lineup will include Sugar Britches, Crooked Rugs, Aubrey Dale, iZCALLi, Nathaniel Riley, Eva Rose King,no fauna, Magnie and Amadeux, RLY ORY and Glen Phillips.

Holiday Lights Run

Fort Collins Running Club will hold a Holiday Lights Run and Party at 5:30-9 p.m. Tuesday,Dec. 9, at Intersect Brewing, 2160 W. Drake Road, A1.

It will be a progressive Lights & Treats Run on the west side of town. The 5ish-mile route will start and finish at Intersect Brewing, visiting a number of houses/treat stations.

Dress festively. Lights and reflective clothing are encouraged.

Poinsettia Sale

The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University will host its annual Poinsettia Sale at 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the CSU Horticulture Center, 1707 Centre Ave.

The sale features 1,200 plants grown and cared for by upper-level students in the floriculture practicum class, offering 93 cultivars in shades of pink, red, and white. Prices are $15 for 6-inch pots and $20 for 8-inch pots. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

The hands-on practicum course equips students with greenhouse management skills, including crop care, pest control and environmental regulation. Proceeds from the sale support future student learning and research initiatives at the CSU Horticulture Center.

Attendees can vote for their favorite poinsettias, and trial plants will also be available for purchase. Early arrival is recommended, as plants sell quickly.

Wonderland Dance

Goodtime Dance Club will hold It’s a Winter Wonderland! Dance with the John Mills Orchestra at 6:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive.
A quick group dance lesson will be offered at 6:30-7 p.m.

WINDSOR

Art Show

The Windsor Lake Artists Art Show will open with a reception at 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Art and Heritage Center, 116 Fifth St.
Discover the creativity of Windsor’s local talent in the exhibit that showcases works by local artists.
The show runs through Jan. 25. The center is open noon-4 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
