King Charles is set to change yearly traditions as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor refuses to leave the Royal Lodge.
His Majesty is set to change annual Christmas celebrations starting 2026 and move the venue from Sandringham to Windsor.
This would be done in order to distance Andrew further from the Royals.
Kate Mansey, writing in The Times, suggests: “As Andrew drags his feet leaving Royal Lodge, it means he won’t have moved into Sandringham in time for the family Christmascelebrations there. This is being seen by sources close to Charles as rather ‘fortuitous’, given that Andrew isn’t invited to the festivities.”
“When Andrew does finally move into Sandringham next year, Charles might be minded to follow the tradition of his predecessor, Queen Victoria, and host the royal Christmas festivities at Windsor instead.”
This comes as King Charles recently declared over the German President tour: “The United Kingdom and Germany together stand with Ukraine and bolster Europe against the threat of further Russian aggression,” he noted.
According to some media reports, the two may face a prison threat as his late accuser Virginia Giuffre’s allegations prompted new probe, not only in the UK but also in the US.
Andrew’s situation this depicts a future that could be quite eventful after losing Royal Lodge.
