The song is already taking off online, building the kind of momentum that could easily make this one of his biggest hits yet.

Tucker Wetmore is back with “Proving Me Right,” a catchy breakup anthem packed with a bite that shares the truth about a love story that went sideways. This time around, he isn’t sugarcoating anything.

The rising country star tells the story from the perspective of someone who’s finally done falling for the same old tricks and is ready to call out an ex who lives for attention and thrives on chaos. Driven by a punchy chorus and a set of moody, slow-burning instrumentals, the track hones in on the moment when the heartbreak finally lifts and the frustration kicks in.

He comes right out of the gate with the brutal honesty singing, “You got a way now don’t ya/ Of getting’ just what you wanted/ Don’t lie, don’t lie/ You want me to see you with him/ Switchin’ from red to crimson / Alright, alright.”

Wetmore’s gritty, charming vocals carry the weight of these emotions as he calls out the fact that she clearly wants him to see her with her new guy and calls her the “queen bee of the game that you’re playin’.” The Washington native insists he’s already spent more time than he should’ve mourning the connection they previously shared and is ready to shine a light on her true colors.

“Keep on doing me wrong now baby/ ‘Bout time they get to know you baby/ Call me what you wanna but I ain’t pickin’ up tonight/ Keep on puttin’ it on now baby/ Find some guy with a song now baby/ Go do what you wanna but all you’re doin’ me wrong /Is just proving me right,” he declares on the chorus.

Wetmore teamed up with Jessie Jo Dillon, Chris Tompkins, and Luke Laird to shape the narrative that’s painfully relatable for anyone who’s ever had to watch an ex repeat the same patterns time and time again.

The song is already taking off online, building the kind of momentum that could easily make this one of his biggest hits yet.

Serving as his first release since his debut album What Not To dropped in April, “Proving Me Right” has been highly requested from listeners from the moment Tucker Wetmore began subtly teasing it on socials. Now that it’s out, it follows a string of fan-favorites including “Brunette,” his latest Country radio single, “3,2,1,” which recently landed inside the Top 5, making him one step closer toward earning his second No. 1 this year.

Both songs arrived on his debut project, a collection that made history as the biggest country album debut from a new artist in 2025. Throughout the album, fans will find plenty more deeply personal storytelling, high-energy anthems, and lessons of love and heartbreak.

The CMA New Artist of the Year nominee’s latest track also arrives just a few weeks after he had the opportunity to perform on the CMA Awards stage for the first time with his first chart-topping single, “Wind Up Missin’ You.” He’s gearing up to take these songs and more on the road for The Brunette World Tour. The trek launches in February 2026 and stretches across the U.S., UK, and EU. Along the way, Wetmore will bring a stacked lineup of rising talent with him, including Dasha, Carter Faith, and Jacob Hackworth joining on select dates.

The newest addition to his schedule is a performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026. This celebratory event is set to air live on Wednesday, Dec. 31 on ABC, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST and next day on Hulu.
