A flashback to the years past, where the Royal Family selected their best pictures for their annual Christmas cards have just been shared.
This trip down memory lane has come via the Royal Collection Trust and they have shared it on Instagram as part of a candid post.
There are a total of three pictures, each featuring a different member of the Royal Family.
From George VI with his family to Elizabeth with her young son, Prince Charles and last but not least Crown Prince Olav, King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra’s grandson.
More insight about the whole thing has been shared in the caption that reads that for picture number one, “this card shows George VI with his family, including the first royal corgi, Dookie. It was taken by Marcus Adams in 1938. Underneath the photo each person has signed the card.”
In picture number two, “10 years later Princess Elizabeth’s Christmas card shows her with her young son, Prince Charles, the future King Charles III.”
Finally picture number three showed, Crown Prince Olav, who was “King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra’s grandson, and became King Olav V. Captured by celebrated Norwegian photographer Anders Beer Wilse, it is addressed warmly to Queen Mary as ‘aunt May’, for Christmas 1917.
