Smart television maker LG has added two new Stingray music channels to its free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service LG Channels, the companies announced on Tuesday.
The new channels include Stingray Cityscapes, which offers aerial views of iconic cities that play through downtempo music, and Earthday 365, a channel dedicated to delivering content that explores and celebrates the world.
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with LG Channels to bring Stingray Cityscapes and EarthDay365 to a wider audience,” said Jim Riley, the President of Stingray Music USA. “These channels embody our commitment to provide high-quality, engaging content that resonates with viewers’ passions. Whether it’s exploring the natural world or experiencing the world’s greatest cities from a new vantage point, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional viewing experiences.”
The addition of the two channels builds on an agreement announced in October, through which Stingray Music will power interactive music streams on the LG Radio+ service, which is available through LG Channels.
“LG’s Radio+ is setting a new bar for engaging customer experiences, and we at Stingray are thrilled to expand our collaboration as their music partner for this exciting new offering,” Riley said in a statement at the time. “Music is the universal language and the string that binds us across borders and generations.”
Chris Jo, the lead executive in charge of the webOS Platform Business Center at LG’s Media Entertainment Solution Company, said the collaboration with Stingray emphasizes LG’s ongoing effort to deliver more free, high-quality content to its users.
“Our new partnership with industry leader Stingray will bring LG TV owners a wealth of free content, empowering them to enjoy all the content they love at their convenience,” Jo said in a statement.
Stingray’s music channels are available on other leading FAST services as well, including Plex, Amazon’s Fire TV Channels and Xumo Play.
