Lafayette Christmas weekend events include concerts, crafts more

Lafayette is hosting a variety of holiday-themed events in the days leading up to Christmas.
Festivities include a Christmas concert, a ’60s holiday show, and historically decorated homes.

Christmas at The Bayou Christmas Concert: Celebrate the season with this family-friendly holiday concert featuring festive music, community spirit and surprises for all ages. The evening includes a brief message from the pastor on the hope of Christmas. No childcare provided — families are encouraged to enjoy the event together. ’60s Holiday Girl Group Show at Cité des Arts: Missy, Cindy Lou, Suzy and Betty Jean bring festive cheer to Harper’s Hardware with ‘60s holiday hits, tight harmonies and plenty of laughs. Enjoy this retro holiday celebration at Cité des Arts, 109 Vine St., Lafayette. Price: $35 Opening Night Gala; $25 all other performances.
Christmas at the Lafayette Museum: The Lafayette Museum Historic Homes & Gardens will be decorated for Christmas with period decorations through Dec. 31. The event will take place at The Lafayette Museum, Historic Home and Gardens, 1122 Lafayette St., Lafayette, LA 70501, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prices: $5 adults; $3 seniors, military, and students.

Old-Time Winter Traditions: Vermilionville transforms into a festive historic village, showcasing traditional Acadiana crafts like candle-making, natural décor, soap-making and letters to Papa Noel. Visitors can enjoy classic Cajun and Creole dishes at La Cuisine de Maman (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and shop for handmade gifts from local artists at La Boutique. The event will take place at Vermilionville Living History Museum & Folklife Park, 300 Fisher Rd. Lafayette, LA 70508 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sensory-Friendly Mornings at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana: The Children’s Museum of Acadiana offers a monthly sensory-friendly morning designed for families of children with ASD or sensory processing disorders. Attendance is limited to 15 families, with lowered lights and sound, plus adaptive tools like noise-reducing headphones and weighted vests. Held every second Sunday from 9 to 11 a.m., these sessions provide a calm, accessible space for hands-on play and learning. Advance registration required.
Sam Sphar – Live Music Nightly: Enjoy live music by Sam Sphar seven nights a week from 6–9 p.m. at 3809 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Lafayette.
A very merry Burlesque Brunch: Live Music at The Artmosphere at 902 Johnston St., Lafayette, LA 70501. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The price is $5.
