So many artists, so many songs, so little time. GENA (LIV.E & KARRIEM RIGGINS) – “HOWWEFLOW”
GENA, the duo of Liv.e and Karriem Riggins, have announced their debut album, The Pleasure Is Yours, due February 27 via Lex Records. Here’s the syrupy neo-soul of new single “HOWWEFLOW.”

BILLY BRAGG – “PUT CHRIST BACK INTO CHRISTMAS”
Billy Bragg is back with this very Billy Bragg-style holiday song. He explains: “The far-right attention seeker who calls himself Tommy Robinson is trying to introduce Christian nationalism into the UK, holding a carol service in central London on Saturday 13th December under the slogan “Putting Christ Back Into Christmas”. He told his followers that this involves “drawing attention to unchecked immigration and the fading of our cultural heritage. Stand Up To Racism and Care4Calais are organising a counter-rally at 1pm on Saturday outside Downing Street. I’ll be there to sing a few songs. Here’s one I’ve just written to remind Tommy and his mates of the true meaning of Christmas, utilising the tune of the Scottish folk song ‘Come All Ye Tramps and Hawkers’.”

FATBOY SLIM – “SATISFACTION SKANK”
Apparently Norman Cook made this mash-up of his own Fatboy Slim hit “The Rockafeller Skank” and The Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” back in the 2000s but could never actually release it due to rights issues from the Stones’ side. (The Verve can relate.) Finally he’s gotten permission to release it.

PULLMAN (MEMS TORTOISE, COME) – “KABUL”
Chicago post-rock supergroup Pullman — Ken “Bundy K.” Brown (Tortoise/Directions in Music), Curtis Harvey (Rex), Chris Brokaw (Come), Doug McCombs (Tortoise/Eleventh Dream Day), drummer Tim Barnes — have shared another song from their upcoming album III. “Kabul. Dig deep. Banjo nod to the East,” says Brokaw. “Throw it in the mail and into Bundy‘s blender. Back to the boys and out into the ether. Boiling weeds for soup ain’t no way to live.”

MUMFORD & SONS – “PRIZEFIGHTER”
Mumford & Sons unveiled the title track of their new album Prizefighter, which they wrote with Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner (who also co-produced the album).

DIRT BUYER – “BASEBALL”
“It’s about growing up with certain expectations and adhering to them for no reason other than doing what you’re told,” Dirt Buyer’s Joe Sutkowski says of the latest single off their new album, “Baseball.” “The song is about gaining autonomy and independence.” Dirt Buyer III is out on February 6 via Bayonet.

SASSY 009 – “MIRRORS” FT. YUNÈ PINKU
Sassy 009’s debut album Dreamer+ is out in January via [PIAS] Électronique/Heaven-Sent, and the latest single is the distorted, downtempo “Mirrors,” which features yunè pinku.
