No one does a night out like Rihanna.
Last week, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky took their two sons, RZA Athelston and Riot Rose Mayers, to New York City’s biggest indoor playground for the most stylish family night out. With a mini Moncler jacket and tiny UGG boots, a fur coat and some Chanel, and lots of matching cobalt blues, the parents and children alike embraced all that winter fashion has to offer for an evening out on the town.
But while her mommy-and-me style was picture-perfect, Rihanna’s mom’s night out look was arguably even cooler. Stepping out in Los Angeles for a solo date, the star made her way to Hollywood’s Dot Dot Lounge for the Roc Nation holiday party, which reportedly went into the early hours of the morning. Hosted by Jay-Z’s entertainment company, the annual event celebrated the label’s artists and athletes, and brought together the likes of Beyoncé, SZA, Justin Bieber, and Travis Scott.
For the occasion, Rihanna picked out a black monochrome look, letting playful textures and surprising moments of layering do all the talking. Sandwiched between a simple bra top and her statement bomber, a Balenciaga zip-up peeked out, designed with a low V-neckline, long sleeves with fingerless gloves, and a fur stole with matching pom pom accents.
To pair, she went with thin leggings and a silky bomber that gave the look a bit of shine. She elevated the casual pieces with open-toe sandal heels and a chunky gold necklace, and covered her eyes with oversize blackout sunglasses. For the finishing touch, her hair was pulled up into a messy bun.
